The MWCEA Mission
The Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) is an organization whose stated purpose is to promote, encourage and foster the advancement of education in the field of Mississippi workers’ compensation law and benefits, along with the rules and regulations, etc., through the dissemination of knowledge by publications, seminars, lectures and other means.
Our focus is on reaching all of the participants in the workers’ compensation community, which includes:

MWCEA Programs & Services
MWCEA Programs & Services
MWCEA encourages the sharing of ideas among those who participate in the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation community. The organization’s goal is to find ways to improve the delivery of appropriate benefits to injured workers while maintaining the integrity of the system, through appropriate educational tools and interaction within the community as a whole.
MWCEA pursues its goals through a variety of programs and services. Presently included among the activities of MWCEA are the following:
MWCEA Annual Conference
The annual 3-day Conference invites the entire Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Community to participate.
Complete Video Guide
The guide provides Question and Answer resources to the workers’ compensation community via informational videos available online.
Hall of Fame
MWCEA is involved in facilitating and implementing the establishment of a Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Hall of Fame.
Continuing Legal education
MWCEA provides various opportunities for community members to earn CLE credits through seminars focused on the legal community.
Awards & Recognition
The annual Kenneth G. Perry Professionalism Award and Sam Cox Spirit Award, awarded by MWCEA, recognize leaders within the Community.
ADJUSTER’S GUIDE
The adjusters’ guide provides those responsible for handling claims with an outline that will facilitate appropriate claims handling.
Claimant Workers’ Compensation Brochure / Folleto de la Indemnización de los Trabajadores
MWCEA publishes an accessible brochure in both English and Spanish to provide basic facts about the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation law to injured workers.
